How to Prepare For Your Tan
On the day of your appointment make sure you have showered and thoroughly exfoliate. Take extra care to exfoliate around your elbows and knees. This is going to help ensure that
you get the most even result. It is also extremely important that you do not have any product on your skin. This includes makeup, deodorant, body lotion, moisturiser, acne cream etc.
Your skin must be completely clean. If you are very self conscious without makeup then we can spray over the top. There is no guarantee that the tan will be able to absorb through your
makeup but some brands do allow the tan to develop on your skin.
On the day of your appointment one of our friendly female tanning specialists will arrive at your house at the specified time. You can choose where you would like to be tanned. Any tiled,
vinyl, wooden flooring will be fine (not carpet) alternatively the bathroom area, you don’t have to worry about cleaning up a mess afterwards! At the Brazilian Tanning Company uses
pop up portable tanning tents that are easy to put up and take down.
We have only female tanning specialists to ensure you feel comfortable at all times.
You may wear whatever you feel comfortable with during your spray tan. It is most common for women to wear only underwear bottoms. We can provide whenever possible disposable
g strings and hair nets if you choose.
How To Maintain Your Tan
Spray tan maintenance is just as important as the preparation. To keep your tan beautiful and rich you need to moisturise every day. Try not to scrub your skin during the days you have
your tan. When you shower just wash gently. It’s fine to use soap and body wash.
When you have your first shower after your tan you will notice the colour washing down the drain. Don’t be alarmed, this is perfectly normal. The colour you see washing down the drain
is just the tanning agent that allows the technician to see where the colour is going. The spray tan solution is still developing on your skin even after you get out of the shower.
If you want a deeper tan you can wait longer than 4-6 hours before showering. 2 hours is the minimum time, some people prefer to leave the tan up to 15 hours to get the darkest colour
possible. Others choose to shower after 2 hours and have a slightly lighter tan.
How To Remove Your Spray Tan
After 7-10 days your tan will have faded. The best way to completely remove your tan is to soak in a bath for 20 minutes. Use an exfoliating glove or loofah and you’ll find the tan will
come off easily. If you are swimming you tan may not last as long and we recommend you consider one of our tan extender products.

After you’ve made your appointment with Brazilian Tanning Company, mark the date and time into your calendar. You should also mark the day before because this is the best time to do
any waxing/shaving. You will receive an automatic confirmation before your appointment. It’s important to reply to this message as we do not go to the mobile appointment unless it has
